What is West Fest?

Support the Carroll County Chapter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta by attending this year’s second annual West Fest on April 20 from 3 pm to 10:30 pm. Sponsored by the University of West Georgia, Greenway Medical Technologies, RA-LIN and other corporate leaders, West Fest is a family-friendly outdoor music festival for anyone looking to have a good time while supporting a great cause.

West Fest includes a morning 5K, family activities throughout the day and an evening of music from local bands Homegrown Band, Roadhouse Atlanta, Jessi Lynn and nationally recognized headliner, Corey Smith. Corey Smith was named one of country music’s hottest new artists by Country Weekly and Music Row Magazine. He has hundreds of sold-out performances under his belt and a growing, dedicated fan-base due to hits such as “Twenty-One,” “Maybe Next Year” and “If I Could Do It Again.”

Tickets are $15 for students, $20 for public in advance and$25 day of the show. All proceeds from the day go to The Boys and Girls Club of Carroll County; last year, West Fest raised over $65,000 for the local club.

Bring your chairs, picnic baskets and blankets and enjoy a fun time with family and friends! 

Directions to the UWG Athletic Complex

From Atlanta

Travel I-20 West to Villa Rica/UWG Exit 24.  Turn left (West) onto Hwy. 61.  Travel approx. 12 miles to Hwy. 166 (Carrollton South By-Pass).  At intersection just past Longhorn’s Steakhouse, turn left onto 166 By-Pass.  At the 6^th red light, turn right onto Maple Street.  A CVS will be on the corner.  UWG will be on the left approx. 6/10 of a mile along Maple Street.

From Birmingham

Travel I-20 East to Bremen/UWG Exit 11, turn right (South) and follow Hwy. 27 South into Carrollton approx. 7 miles.  Turn right at red light/intersection across from Kangaroo onto Columbia Dr.  Continue on Columbia Drive until you end at campus.

From Columbus

Travel I-185 North to Newnan, take Hwy. Alt. 27 North to Carrollton. Travel U.S. 27 ALT/GA 16 W.  At red light intersection (just past Sheriff’s Dept.) turn left onto By-Pass 166.  At the 4^th traffic light, turn right onto Maple Street.  A CVS will be on the corner.  UWG will be on the left approx. 6/10 of a mile along Maple Street.
